In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth hallows God, and He is the ever-Prevalent, the all-Wise.
2. O you who believe! Why do you say what you yourselves do not do?
3. Most hateful it is to God that you say what you do not do.
4. Verily God loves those who fight in His Way in ranks as if they were an unbreakable metalloid wall.
5. Behold! Moses said to his people: “O my people! Why do you harm me? While indeed you know that I am a messenger of God to you?” But when (yet) they went astray, God too allowed their hearts to stray, and God does not guide the people who transgress.
6. When Jesus the son of Mary said: “O children of Israel! Verily I am a messenger of God to you confirming what is before you of the Torah and bearing the glad tidings of a Messenger who shall come after me whose name is Ahmed (i.e. Muhammad),” but when he (Ahmed) came to them, they said: “This is a manifest sorcery!”
7. Who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against God while he is invited to Islam? God does not guide the unjust people.
8. They intend to put out the Light of God with their own mouths, but God insists on perfecting His Light, though averse the disbelievers may be.
9. He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad) with the guidance (Qur’an) and the religion of truth (Islam) that He may bring about its triumph over all other religions, though averse the polytheists may be.
10. O you who believe! Shall I lead you to a merchandise that will deliver you from a painful chastisement?
11. That you believe in God and His Messenger, and strive in the way of God with your possessions and your lives; that is better for you, if you only know.
12. He will forgive you your sins and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow, and an excellent abode there is in the gardens of eternity? That is the supreme achievement.
13. And another (blessing) which you love: victory from God at hand; so give the glad tidings to the believers.
14. O you who believe! Be the helpers (in the cause) of God as Jesus the son of Mary said to his disciples: “Who will be my helpers to (the work of) God?” The disciples said: “We are the helpers (in the cause) of God.” Then a party of the children of Israel believed, while another party disbelieved; then We aided those who believed against their enemy; so, they became the victorious.
